SIA, a leading cybersecurity firm Minsait uses to channel its services in this field (both are Indra companies), consolidates its leadership in digital identity services after the acquisition of Mobbeel, a Spanish company and one of the most advanced in the field of digital identity verification through biometric recognition solutions, which allow people to prove their identity quickly and securely, in the same way as if they were to do so in person.
For Luis Álvarez, CEO of SIA, “the progression of digital identity and the key role it plays today in protecting any given organization is causing us to seek out solutions and technologies, such as those related to the field of biometrics supplied by Mobbeel, which make an excellent complement to our service portfolio, in addition to the channel they have beyond our borders”.
The deal, in addition to furthering its growth strategy, strengthens SIA’s product offering and expands its capabilities in this field to provide the market with an even more comprehensive response and greater service coverage, with the addition of Mobbeel’s innovative identification solutions and its competitive portfolio of clients, 60% of whom are international.
Founded in 2009 and based in Cáceres, Mobbeel develops transformational projects, mainly in Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, Automotive and Tourism, sectors where it is essential to verify people’s identity, and its technology can be found in over 30 countries, such as Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Finland and Portugal, in addition to Spain.
“For us, this is an exciting new stage; the agreement reached will allow us to grow commercially, be able to achieve increasingly ambitious goals as a company, provide the best service to our customers, and offer greater opportunities to our professionals,” says José Luis Huertas, CEO of Mobbeel.
SIA, with more than 20 years’ experience and a dedicated team of more than 200 specialists in the identity management and electronic signature fields, manages more than two million identities corresponding to leading companies in all sectors and manages more than 400,000 signatures each day. It currently offers services throughout Europe from its offices in Spain, Portugal, Germany and Italy. In Latin America, it has customers in Colombia, Mexico and Brazil and operations in Panama and Peru, while in Asia it has a unit in the Philippines.
As for the Extremadura-based firm, it now has the backing of SIA, a leading cybersecurity company, and thus becomes part of Indra, one of the world’s premier technology and consulting companies, for which cybersecurity is one of the key growth levers in its operations throughout the world.
