VEM Technologies Receives IRSS From HAL For LCH At DefExpo 2022

VEM Technologies Private Limited, a renowned Defence, Aeronautics and Space company, received the design and indigenous development of an Infra-Red Radiation Suppression System (IRSS) from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) requirement at DefExpo 2022.

Eminent dignitaries such as Dr Ajay Kumar, Defence Secretary – Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Dr(ms) Tessy Thomas, Director General (Aeronautics Systems) – Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), C B Ananthakrishnan, Chairman and Managing Director-HAL, Dibyendu Maiti, CEO-HAL, Mihir Kanti Mishra, CEO of Bangalore Complex -HAL, and V Venkata Raju, CMD-VEM, among others, graced the occasion. 

VEM handed over the first ever ‘Centre Fuselage Assembly for Light Combat Aircraft – Tejas’ to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on 26th July 2021 with significant support from HAL – Light Combat Aircraft Division (LCA) Division.

The company was founded in 1988 and has since made significant milestones. VEM’s R&D centre is recognised by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and a design and engineering centre comprising various engineering branches and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in its two units in Hyderabad, Telangana State.

VEM stands out to be one of the first five private defence companies in the country in terms of competencies and infrastructure as it offers end-to-end technology solutions and systems for various weapon systems for land, air and naval applications and in the Indigenous Design and Development of various systems under ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat/Make in India’ Policy.
