Rosoboronexport, a Rostec State Corporation subsidiary, showcases Russia’s latest aerospace technology at the Aero India 2023 International Aerospace Exhibition, which began earlier today (13 February) to 17 February 2023 at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru, India.

Alexander A. Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport, stated that their participation in Aero India is an opportunity to showcase modern Russian weaponry and discuss potential areas for cooperation with India. He emphasised the robust military-technical cooperation between the two countries and highlighted new opportunities for joint development and production of high-tech products within India’s Make in India program.

Russia’s collective display in Pavilion B features stands from Rosoboronexport, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), and Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation. Additionally, representatives from major Russian enterprises will be present to demonstrate their latest products.

Rosoboronexport is exhibiting over 200 advanced Russian-made armaments and military hardware, including the Su-57E fifth-generation fighter, the Checkmate light tactical aircraft, and the IL-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, among others. The company will also present the Ka-226T light utility helicopter, with plans to launch its production under the Make in India program.
In addition, a range of Russian military helicopters, including the upgraded versions of the Ka-52E and Mi-28NE attack helicopters, will be demonstrated. The display will also feature Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVA), including the Orion-E reconnaissance/strike UAV, air defence systems such as the S-350E Vityaz air defence missile system and the Pantsir-S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft system.
Rosoboronexport is holding meetings and negotiations with representatives from the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Indian security forces, and private enterprises to expand the industrial partnership between Russia and India in line with the Make in India and Self-Reliant India programs.
