The 2023 World Airline Awards
Launched in 1999, the World Airline Awards are noted for their impartiality and independence, constituting the aviation industry’s most prominent global customer satisfaction survey. Passengers from around the globe participate in the survey, determining the award winners through their valuable insights. These prestigious awards, often called “the Oscars of the aviation industry,” are a testament to exceptional service.
Skytrax fully sponsors the survey and awards event, ensuring an objective evaluation of airlines. There are no entry or registration fees for airlines, and the use of award logos and results is free of charge.
The online customer survey took place from September 2022 to May 2023, with invitations sent to previous respondents from the survey database. Customers could participate in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese. Over 100 nationalities contributed to the 2022/2023 survey, with an impressive 20.23 million eligible entries considered. Rigorous screening measures were implemented to identify and eliminate duplicate, suspicious, or ineligible entries. The final award results feature more than 325 airlines, exemplifying the survey’s comprehensive nature.
