A customized program for managing disposable spare parts inventory, Embraer Collaborative Inventory Planning (ECIP) will help clients optimize inventory levels and decrease operational costs. Scoot is the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, and the two companies have inked a contract for this program. With the Pool Programme and the ECIP agreement, Scoot will have all the assistance it needs for its nine E190-E2 planes when they arrive. This airline will be ECIP’s inaugural client in the Asia-Pacific area.

“Our continued partnership with Embraer is a testament of our commitment to deliver optimal performance with the new E190-E2 fleet,” stated Scoot COO Mr. Ng Chee Keong. We expect our first Embraer plane to arrive soon, and this strategic structure will help us run efficiently.

Embraer’s extensive range of services is based on recognizing and meeting the demands of our airline clients in a constantly changing market, according to Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support. “We are grateful to Scoot for entrusting us with the operations of their E190-E2 fleet. Their trust has been greatly appreciated.”

Based in Singapore, Embraer provides services and support to its activities in the Asia Pacific region. The Company employs both Singaporean employees and a Regional Distribution Centre located in the free trade zone at Changi Airport. From its strategic location within the area, the Regional Distribution Centre offers Embraer’s clients with round-the-clock spare parts availability and assistance.

ECIP provides several benefits to clients. With Embraer handling the bulk of the inventory investment, airlines often incur far less expense, which contributes to the reduction of consumer disbursement. In addition, it includes a set annual price for the ECIP scope items, so clients may have cashflow predictability under agreed service levels. Customer parts usage informs weekly ordering recommendations in this data-driven business. Key to the solution’s efficiency is advanced software, backed by specialized stock to service ECIP customers in the region and Embraer Planning experience. The world-class performance of Embraer’s logistics network and knowledge of material services management are two further reasons why ECIP clients select the company.
