Lufthansa Technik and Air India Secure Total Component Support Agreement at Singapore Airshow 2024

By Staff Correspondent

The Singapore Airshow is the focus of aviation industry attention this week. The Asian market is still very much in the spotlight owing to its enormous potential, and not only because of the trade exhibition. With record-breaking aircraft orders, remarkable growth projections, and promising future possibilities, the Asia-Pacific region is poised to overtake all others as the leading MRO market globally in the near future. “What we are witnessing here and what is to come is unparalleled in the world,” remarks Dennis Kohr, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific. “The Indian aviation market has expanded at a remarkable rate; it is currently the world’s third largest.”

For instance, our expanding cooperation with Air India proves that we at Lufthansa Technik are a part of this thrilling growth.

“Our partnership with Air India is going to grow in the near future as we extend our Total Component Support agreement to cover all of the airline’s Boeing 777 aircraft until 2032”, Kohr stated.

“Lufthansa Technik has consistently shown its dedication to Air India with their support since the beginning of our collaboration,” said Sisira Kanta Dash, Chief Technical Officer of Air India. We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with Lufthansa, a long-term partner, and work together even more closely on our Boeing 777 fleet.

In a statement, Dennis Kohr expressed his gratitude for the “trusting partnership” that underpins their engagement with Air India. “We are thrilled to enhance it and anticipate playing a crucial role in assisting Air India’s technical operations.”
