Bird Group, an Indian firm renowned for its exceptional ground-handling expertise, boasts a remarkable track record of over 50 years and an extensive presence in the aviation industry, serving 21 airports across India.

As per the agreement, Bird Group will assume a wide range of tasks for the ground-handling project. This involves a wide range of services designed to improve the overall experience of the traveller. This encompasses all aspects of the passenger experience, ranging from providing a hospitable reception to efficient ramp operations and careful handling of luggage. The emphasis is placed on establishing an atmosphere that gives priority to effectiveness and the contentment of passengers.

Bird Group will guarantee that all ground service equipment (GSE) at the airport is powered by electricity, aligning with the airport’s goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions. This will aid in decreasing the airport’s carbon footprint, thereby facilitating the implementation of more sustainable practices.

The CEO of Noida International Airport, Mr. Christoph Schnellmann, expressed his joy at the partnership with Bird Group, a frontrunner in the ground handling industry. In our pursuit of a first-rate airport, Bird Group’s demonstrated knowledge and dedication to innovation will be crucial. Through this partnership, we want to provide our clients with an outstanding experience at every point of contact, including ground handling, one of the essential roles that keeps the airport running smoothly.

“Being a part of this historic occasion fills us with pride! It is a tremendous accomplishment to have been the first ground-handling provider at the second airport in the capital. Through the use of cutting-edge procedures and technology, we are devoted to raising the bar for service delivery and environmental friendliness. the Bird Group’s executive director, Mr. Gaurav Bhatia, stated.

A contemporary, user-friendly design, influenced by India, will be developed by Noida International Airport by combining Swiss efficiency and technology with the warmth and hospitality of India. The initial airport phase, consisting of a single terminal and one runway, will be able to accommodate 12 million people per annum. After the four stages of expansion are finished, the airport will have the capacity to handle 70 million people annually.
