The launch of BEL IAI Aerosystems, a joint venture between Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), marks a significant milestone in Indo-Israeli defence collaboration. Announced at Aero India 2025, this partnership aims to provide seamless post-warranty maintenance and lifecycle support for India’s defence systems, including MRSAM/LRSAM systems, while fostering technological innovation and self-reliance in line with the ‘Make in India’ vision. The JV will serve as a single point of contact for India’s defence forces, ensuring reduced turnaround time and enhanced serviceability. Beyond maintenance, the collaboration will facilitate the transfer of advanced technologies, boost local expertise, create job opportunities, and strengthen India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem.
