Dash 8-400 Aircraft in Biman Bangladesh Airlines Fleet to Get Assistance Under De Havilland Component Solutions Programme

By Staff Correspondent

Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd. (Biman) has inked a De Havilland Component Solutions Programme (“DCS Programme”) deal to have its five Dash-8 400 aircraft serviced by De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (“De Havilland Canada”). Through the DCS Programme, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd. will have access to a pool of strategically placed spare parts and thorough component MRO services.

“Our highly customizable DCS Programme continues to be the leader in power-by-the-hour solutions for the Dash 8-400 fleet. It is designed to allow operators to focus on other key business activities while we take care of their component management requirements,” mentioned Leighton Storsley, Vice-President, Aftermarket and Business Development at De Havilland Canada. The addition of Biman to the DCS Programme is something we’re really excited about, and we can’t wait to provide them with the personalized component support package they need.

An official from Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd., Mr. Shafiul Azim, expressed his excitement over the company’s decision to team up with De Havilland Canada to provide component maintenance assistance for its Dash 8-400 aircraft. “Our day-to-day operations can be optimized with the help of De Havilland Canada’s superior part availability and cost predictability, which is crucial given that we have hubs across Bangladesh in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet.”
