For the fifth consecutive year, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has been named the “Best Airport” in the Asia-Pacific region by the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program of the Airports Council International (ACI). Additionally, the airport has earned the distinction of being the “Cleanest Airport” in the Asia-Pacific region.
The ASQ program is the premier airport customer experience measurement and benchmarking program, with over 465,000 responses collected from passengers in 2022. These surveys cover over 30 performance indicators across key elements of the passengers’ airport experiences, such as ease of direction, smooth check-in experience, and shopping and dining offerings at airports.
Operated by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited (GIL) led consortium, IGI Airport received this recognition in the category of over 40 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA). This new recognition category is a testament to DIAL’s dedication to consistently enhancing the passenger experience and maintaining global standards of health and hygiene at the airport.

The ASQ Awards Ceremony will be held on September 6, 2023, as part of the annual ASQ Forum and Customer Experience Global Summit in Incheon, Republic of Korea.
This latest recognition follows Delhi Airport’s previous four consecutive wins as the best airport in the highest category of more than 40 MPPA in the Asia-Pacific region in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
