On Tuesday, 7 March 2023, Jo Prior, Counsellor for the Australian Border Force (ABF), paid a visit to Inspector General AK Harbola, TM, the Regional Commander for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), at Gandhinagar. The two officials discussed issues of mutual interest and commonality during their meeting.
Over the past decade, the partnership between the Indian Coast Guard and Maritime Agencies of Australia, specifically the Australian Border Force (ABF), has strengthened.
From ship visits and participation in exercises, conferences, seminars, cooperation in training, and multilateral forums, the coordination between the ICG and ABF has been growing.
The meeting at Gandhinagar underscores the ongoing collaboration between the two organizations and highlights the importance of continued cooperation in the future.
